British Sign Language (BSL) Consultancy Services
At ABC Language Communication and Translation Services, I provide expert British Sign Language (BSL) consultancy services designed to support organisations working closely with the Deaf community. Drawing on my experience as a Deaf professional and inspired by AMB Deaf Accessibility, I am committed to helping organisations communicate effectively, respectfully, and inclusively.
If your organisation produces public information, social media campaigns, websites, training materials, or legal, healthcare, and mental health content, I want you to know that I make sure your message is accurately and appropriately conveyed in BSL. My approach meant cultural sensitivity, linguistic accuracy, and a strong commitment to removing communication barriers for those Deaf BSL users.
British Sign Language is a fully developed language with its grammar, structure, and cultural nuances. Simply translating words is insufficient; meaningful communication necessitates cultural insight and engagement. My consultancy services adapt your content to be both linguistically accurate and culturally pertinent, facilitating trust and fostering an authentic connection with Deaf individuals and their communities.
Working with me means more than compliance with accessibility standards — partnering for authentic inclusion. Together, we can create communication strategies that meet legal obligations and demonstrate your organisation’s genuine commitment to equality for the Deaf community.
If your organisation is ready to enhance its accessibility and strengthen its relationships with Deaf stakeholders, I welcome the opportunity to collaborate and support your goals.

Language Support Services
Through ABC Language Communication and Translation Services, I offer bespoke language support for Deaf individuals navigating complex systems or life challenges. As a Deaf professional, I bring linguistic expertise and cultural insight, creating a safe, empowering space for Deaf people to express themselves clearly, understand their rights, and engage with services on equal terms.
I work with Deaf clients facing health and social care barriers, education, housing, employment, and broader everyday matters. My role is to provide clear, accessible communication support that enables individuals to confidently make informed decisions, communicate effectively, and advocate for their needs.
I do not speak on behalf of Deaf clients, but rather work alongside them, supporting autonomy, informed choice, and mutual understanding. My practice is grounded in Deaf cultural values and person-centred approaches, with a strong commitment to equality, dignity, and breaking down communication barriers that persist across many sectors.
All services are delivered both in person and via Zoom, providing flexibility, national reach, and timely access regardless of location. This model allows Deaf clients and organisations to receive support in the way that best suits their needs — whether face-to-face or remotely — removing travel-related obstacles and ensuring consistent, accessible communication.
You may be able to access my language support services through direct payments, a government scheme such as Access to Work, or benefits including Personal Independence Payment (PIP). If you're unsure about your eligibility or how to begin, I can offer guidance and signposting to help you move forward with confidence.
If you or someone you support would benefit from culturally competent and accessible communication support, please feel free to get in touch — I am here to support you every step of the way.

Translation
Services
At ABC Language Communication and Translation Services, I help organisations and charities make their written information accessible to Deaf and hard of hearing people by turning it into high-quality, engaging British Sign Language (BSL) videos.
I convert a wide range of written content — websites, social media posts, publicity campaigns, training materials, healthcare information, and mental health content — into precise, natural BSL translations that Deaf people can easily understand and relate to.
Drawing on my Deaf lived experience and native fluency in BSL, I ensure each video is culturally authentic, visually clear, and respectful of the linguistic richness of BSL. These are not just word-for-word translations — they are meaningful visual adaptations that connect with Deaf audiences in a way written or spoken English often cannot.
I work closely with you to fully understand your organisation’s goals, message, and audience. This ensures that the BSL videos reflect your values, are accessible to the community you aim to reach, and are produced to a high standard.
Offering BSL video translations shows a genuine commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and breaking down communication barriers. It helps build trust with the Deaf community and ensures your information and services are fully understood and accessible.
If you would like to explore how BSL translation can support your organisation’s communication and accessibility goals, please get in touch. I offer flexible delivery options, including remote video recordings, to suit your project needs.
